Three dead in a building collapse in Giza

A two-storey building collapsed late Friday night in Giza’s Abou El-nomoros district leaving three dead.

According to Al-Ahram Arabic news website, the three dead were all members of the same family.

Egypt has seen a number of construction disasters over the past few decades.

Building collapses in Egypt are often attributed to decaying infrastructure, local authorities’ failure to carry out demolition orders, and unlicensed extensions of additional floors.
