Fire destroyed twelve shops in Talaat Harb mall after it reached the third and fifth floors of the commercial complex.
A large cloud of black smoke could be seen earlier on Sunday afternoon from the fourth floor of the Talaat Harb Mall which is located on the central Talaat Harb street in downtown Cairo.
Fire trucks rushed to the scene but failed to control the blaze before damage was done.
A short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire..
