A reporter from Al-Ahram’s Arabic-language news website was verbally and physically assaulted in Cairo on Tuesday by Central Security Forces (CSF) in the vicinity of Qasr El-Nil Bridge, which has been the site of recurrent clashes over the past few days.
Mostafa Kashef was insulted by a CSF officer while he was taking photos of the events, and was beaten up by police cadets shortly afterwards, the website reported.
Kashef has filed a police report against the officer involved.
