Constitution Party member and former Salafist Nour Party spokesperson Mohamed Yousri Salama died on Sunday morning in Alexandria aged 39. He had been complaining of stomach problems.
Salama’s funeral will take place after noon prayers at Al-Omry Mosque in Alexandria.
Salama was also a founder of the liberal Constitution Party alongside Mohamed ElBaradei.
He was born on 1 October 1974 and studied dentistry.
Salama resigned from the Nour Party in August 2011 after he became unhappy with the party’s policies.
His resignation sparked consternation among Islamist forces, especially after he joined ElBaradei to found the liberal Constitution Party.
