President Hosni Mubarak will be assessed by a medical committee on Tuesday to see if he can be transferred from Maadi Military Hospital back to Tora Prison Hospital, general prosecution spokesperson Judge Mahmoud El-Hefnawy has told Ahram Online.
The doctors will issue a report to the general prosecution.
On Saturday, Prosecutor-General Talaat Abdullah requested that Mubarak be transferred, health permitting, back to Tora Prison Hospital on the outskirts of Cairo.
Since his detention in April 2011, the ousted president has complained of health problems and has been repeatedly moved back and forth between Tora and Maadi Military Hospital.
