Egypt bans 149 Chinese exporters

Egypt Minister of Trade and Industry, Rashid Mohammad Rashid issued a decree that bans dealing with 149 Chinese exporters for procuring shipments with falsified licenses to the Egyptian market. Such shipments may jeopardize the health and safety of consumers.

Rashid said that this decree comes within the system implemented by the Ministry to face up the circulation of fake commodities, limit the prevalence of Chinese commodities that do not meet the specifications, and protect the market from exported products of unknown source. This is to protect committed consumers and producers and provide the market with high quality, healthy and safe merchandise.

Rashid pointed that the Ministery has taken a group of measures to face up Chinese merchandise that do not meet specifications of the Egyptian market.
