Vodafone Egypt has launched an in-flight roaming service for Egyptian customers.
The new service will be placed on 100 aircraft to start with, to allow customers to make and receive calls, send and receive SMS, and access the internet.
Vodafone has said the service will run in the air as it does on the ground.
The service has been certified safe and does not affect the navigation instruments.
Vodafone Egypt will put its WiFi based services onto Egypt Air, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Royal Jordanian, Oman Air and Qatar Airways and Wataniya Airways.
