Gunmen shot dead two Egyptians in an attack on a checkpoint in North Sinai on Wednesday, Egyptian security sources said.
The security officials identified the victims as military cadet Karam Muhammad Ahmad, 22, and 27-year-old Mahmoud Muhammad Abdul-Ghani, a civilian.
Four officers and two civilians were wounded in the attack, mostly suffering leg wounds. They were identified as Ahmad al-Arabi, Fathi Abdul-Warith, Muhammad Ismail, Sayyid Muhammad Abdul-Ghani, Ramadan Abdul-Ghani and Jamal Mahmoud.
