Heat wave to ease in Egypt starting Tuesday

Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA) said on Sunday that the heat wave experienced in Egypt over the past few days is expected to ease starting Tuesday.

Most parts of the country witnessed hot weather on Sunday, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in Cairo.

Moderate weather is expected along the northern coast over the next few days. However, a high level of humidity is still expected.

Temperatures on Monday are forecast to be as follows:

Cairo: 39-25
Alexandria: 32-24
Nile Delta: 37-25
North Sinai: 32-21
South Sinai: 38-29
Upper Egypt: 39-26
