Marks & Spencer has announced plans to enter Egypt’s retail market, and will open an outlet in Cairo’s Dandy Mega Mall later this year. The 2,600 sq m outlet will be opened through its franchise partnership with the Al Futtaim Group, and the group also plans to open a flagship store in Cairo Festival City in spring 2012, which will occupy 4,400 sq m over two floors.
Both outlets will offer M&S’s core offer of family fashion, beauty and home products, including the popular Autograph and Indigo Collection ranges. The stores will also offer a wide range of menswear, childrenswear, lingerie and homeware.
Marks & Spencer added, “Our franchise partner Al Futtaim group already have a number of stores in the region and we are really pleased to have secured such great shopping locations for these new stores.”
