Military plane crashes in Egypt’s Daqahliya

A military aircraft crashed in the Egyptian Nile Delta governorate of Daqahliya on Wednesday, Xinhua news agency reports citing state news.

The plane crashed in a rural area near Sinbellawain city following a technical failure during a training mission, the Ahram online quotes military spokesman Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Ali as saying on his official Facebook page.

However, no casualties were reported.

The pilot was moved to a hospital where he remains in stable condition.

A similar accident happened in October when a military aircraft crashed during a training mission in the south due to mechanical failure.

On Wednesday, the trial of ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi was postponed due to bad weather.

Morsi was due to be flown to a Cairo court but bad weather prevented the helicopter to take off. –BERNAMA
