1 officer, 2 soldiers killed in gunfire at Ismailia checkpoint

Unidentified assailants opened fire on a police checkpoint early Wednesday in the Ismailia governorate, killing one officer and two soldiers.

The Ismailia Prosecutor General mandated the forensic medicine department to conduct a full autopsy on the deceased.

Head of the Ismailia Security Directorate Mohamed al-Anani received a report informing him of the incident, which resulted in the deaths of Officer Ahmd Fahmy and soldiers Eid Khairy and Mohamed Abdel Aziz after they finished work at the security checkpoint.
