Swine flu back in Egypt

Reports from a Ministry of Health laboratory in Sharqia governorate reveal that 13 people have been infected with swine flu (H1N1 virus), a Sharqia Security Directorate source said Sunday.

The source said five of the infected died from the virus and eight were under medical supervision.

The diseased are Hekmat Ahmed Othman, 63, Lotfy Mansour al-Sayed Soliman, 47, Azza Tareef Mohamed, 22, Khalil al-Sayed Shanan, 35, and Aziza Hashim Ghoneim Killany, 58.

Health sources in Luxor said a woman died in Luxor International Hospital Friday after she was infected with swine flu in Armant al-Hayt area in south Luxor.
