36 rioters arrested over inciting violence in Minya

Minya security bodies arrested 36 rioters belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood over violating the protest law and inciting violence during celebrations held to mark the third anniversary of the revolution.

Minya Security Director Osama Metwali said 17 of the suspects were arrested with computers carrying videos for Rabaa sit-in, 20 boxes of Molotov cocktails and nails used for blowing out tires of the cars.

Minya witnessed Saturday fierce clashes between MB elements and anti-riot squads in several areas.

Security forces used teargas to disperse the protesters. Two persons were killed and a third wounded in the clashes, while 36 rioters were arrested.

Prosecution was notified to launch investigations.
