50 years in jail for father who raped his two daughters

The Zagazig Criminal Court in Sharqia sentenced a man Wednesday to a life in jail, or 50 years according to Egyptian law, for raping his two daughters for five years.

Major General Abdel Raouf al-Sairafy received a report from Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Gamal that stated that two sisters aged 16 and 17, who live in Menia al-Amh, were raped by their father, 42.

During interviews with Prosecution Deputy Mohamed Khalil, the girls said that their mother died five years ago, and their father, who works as an electronics technician in a company, took advantage of the fact that they are alone in home and raped them more than once.

The sexual abuse continued for five years, during which he impregnated the eldest daughter.

The Menia al-Amh investigations officers arrested the suspect, after which he was sent to the prosecution, who referred him to the Zagazig Criminal Court.
