7 animals killed in blaze caught Delta houses

CAIRO: Two fires erupted in two different governorates during the early hours of Thursday, leaving no injuries, according to Youm7.

The first blaze broke out in seven houses in El-Monsheat district in Sohag governorate in Upper Egypt causing the death of a pair of cattle, four goats and a number of birds.

The fire resulted in burning furniture, electrical devices, grain and wood.

Investigations into the incident ruled out “criminal suspicions,” while eyewitnesses referred to short-circuit to be a possible reason behind the fire.

Meanwhile, another fire took place at a brick factory in Nikla Village, in Delta’s Beheira governorate, also without leaving any casualties. A total of 12 fire vehicles were dispatched to contain the fire that has erupted after an explosion was heard inside a warehouse of pipelines inside the factory.

Estimations to losses caused by the fire have not been disclosed yet.
