The directives of Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy to the Egyptian embassies and consulates to exert efforts to promote tourism in Egypt, have succeeded in convincing many countries to ease the travel ban to Egypt and allowing their citizens to travel to the tourist destinations along the Egyptian Red Sea coast.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Badr Abdul-Atti said that the list of countries that lifted travel ban to Egypt included Germany, Ireland, Austria, Bulgaria, Sweden, Lithuania, Switzerland in addition to other countries that did not take decisions to ban their citizens from coming to Egypt.
He said that the Foreign Ministry is continuing its efforts in coordination with the Tourism Ministry to end completely the travel bans that some countries imposed on Egypt.
