Egypt’s interim government arrested senior Muslim Brotherhood leader Essam al-Erian on Wednesday, said the state-owned news agency. Erian is a prominent leader in Egypt’s Islamist group and deputy head of its political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party. No further details were announced.
