Three policemen, including an officer, were injured when one bomb detonated on the Giza flyover on Friday morning, Egypt’s state television said.
Initial reports showed that only one bomb detonated, not two as initially reported.
The bomb targeted a central security forces vehicle on the flyover.
Security forces cordoned off the area to ensure there aren’t any other bombs planted.
Bombings that target security forces have increased in intensity since former President Mohamed Mursi was deposed last July following mass protests against his ruling.
