Court sentences thirteen Muslim Brothers over Mukattam clashes

An Egyptian misdemeanor court sentenced 13 people, including seven of Khairat al-Shater’s personal guards, to two years in prison on Saturday for attacking journalists and activists last year at the Muslim Brotherhood’s headquarters.

A court had referred the suspects to criminal court for confrontations in March that resulted in the injury of 127 people.

Shater is the deputy of the Brotherhood’s Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie.
