A security source said late on Monday that a scuffle resulted in Monday’s injuries, not a targeted attack on the nearby security checkpoint in Assiut.
Four people, including a policeman, were injured in a shooting resulted from a confrontation near an Assiut security checkpoint late on Monday.
One conscript was also wounded in the brawl.
The wounded were transferred to a local hospital to receive medical attention.
