Militant Islamist group Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, which claimed responsibility for Friday’s deadly bombings in Cairo, issued sent a threatening email to several journalists, according to Youm7.
An email from ansarmakdes@gmail.com, sent on Friday at 03:48 a.m., carried the title “A statement to the people that will be followed by actions.” The email read “Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis Group, the troop of Khalid Ibn Al Walid, The media sector. Revenge Operation.”
It threatened Egyptian soldiers and called on citizens not to participate in the January 25 Revolution celebrations, saying that whoever participates will be caught in their blasts.
