Arab foreign ministers meet in Cairo over Libya

Foreign ministers from the League of Arab nations are holding an extraordinary meeting Saturday in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, to find a solution to the crisis in Libya, sources close to the organization said.

The meeting, requested by several Arab countries, will discuss the no-fly zone slammed on Libya, Hicham Youssef, chief of staff for the secretary-general of the League, Amr Moussa, told the press on Friday. The Arab League is against any foreign military intervention in Libya.

PANA reports that on the ground, forces loyal to the Libyan leader, Mouammar Kadhafi, have gained ground, taking back the city of Zaouia, 50 km West of Tripoli, as well as Musertha, 200 km East of the Libyan capital.
