An army officer and four conscripts were wounded on Monday when a cargo train overturned in Beheira’s Kafr al-Dawar.
The accident led to the halting of seven railway movements on the Cairo-Alexandria line.
The train was carrying vehicles belonging to the army.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the train may have been speeding when it crashed into concrete that led to its overturn.
Road accidents in Egypt are common due to the country’s poorly maintained infrastructure.
