The backup natural gas pipeline in 10th of Ramadan City exploded on Monday after being targeted by a bomb leaving residents fearful.
Multiple small fires broke out at the scene, but no casualties were reported.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the blast happened at the valves chamber of the alternate pipeline which is surrounded by an iron fence,
The case is now under investigation and police are searching the area for suspects.
