Border Guard troops destroyed 23 underground fuel tanks containing 140,000 liters of diesel oil.
Military Spokesperson Ahmed Mohamed Ali said on Facebook that the troops, in collaboration with the armed forces’ engineering authority, discovered 23 tanks filled with petroleum substances stored underground.
The dimensions of 16 of the tanks were 10 x 4 meters and contained a total of 140,000 liters of diesel oil. The other seven tanks were empty.
The necessary technical measures were used to destroy the tanks, the spokesperson added.
