Alexandria Criminal Court acquitted all the officers accused of killing the peaceful demonstrators during January 25 Revolution, including Alexandria’s former Security Director Mohamed Ibrahim, and Head of Alexandria’s Central Security Adel Allakani in addition to a number of officers Saturday.
The defendants had been accused of killing 83 persons and injuring hundreds of people during their attempt to disperse demonstrations launched against Hosni Mubarak’s regime in 2011.
Most officers accused of killing demonstrators during January 25 Revolution have been acquitted in the three years since the uprising.
