Egypt court acquits 155 pro-Mursi protesters

An Egyptian court ruled on Saturday the acquittal of 155 protesters who were arrested on October 6 and detained pending investigations into allegations that they were spreading chaos near Tahrir Square.

The protesters were also accused of attacking security forces, vandalizing property and possessing weapons.

They have denied all the charges against them.

Thousands of Egyptians had gathered in Tahrir Square to celebrate the 60’s anniversary of the October 6 War while protesters who are against the army’s ouster of President Mohamed Mursi had also gathered to denounce the military.
