Explosion in Aswan leaves 2 dead

Two people were killed and six others injured in a bomb explosion by anonymous assailants near the Nasr Mosque on the Nile Corniche in Aswan, state media reported.

The bodies of the injured and dead people are currently being taken to the hospital.

Small explosions have become a frequent occurrence since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013. Usually the perpetrators are unidentified, but government sources often point to members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood.
