A long-delayed liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal has arrived in Egypt with a cargo of 160,000 cubic metres of LNG, an official at state gas board EGAS told Reuters on Thursday.
The floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) provided by Norway’s Hoegh LNG will allow Egypt to import LNG and reconvert it to natural gas to feed into the energy-starved country’s power grid. (Reporting by Ehab Farouk; writing by Shadi Bushra; editing by David Clarke)
