Limited clashes broke out on Friday between two rival marches in Cairo’s Maadi, the Middle East News Agency reported.
A pro-Mursi march and a pro-armed forces march hurled stones and empty bottles at each other.
In Nasr City, police forces fired teargas bombs on supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood as the latter marched at the intersection between Mostafa al-Nahhas and Tayaran streets, where Rabaa al-Adaweya Square is.
The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy had called for week-long demonstrations to mark 100 days since two Muslim Brotherhood camps in Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda squares were cleared by force on August 14.
Around 900 citizens and policemen were killed nationwide during the process.
In Cairo’s Masr al-Gedida, army forces sealed off Merghani Street to traffic in anticipation of marches which the Muslim Brotherhood called for.
