A march of Bab el-Khaleq locals arrived to the Cairo Security Directorate at Port Said Street to condemn the blast that occurred in front of the directorate on Friday morning.
The explosion, which left 4 dead and 76 injured, was the deadliest such attack since the Dec. 24, 2013 explosion at the Dakahlia Security Directorate in Mansoura that left at least 14 dead and 130 injured.
The demonstrators chanted slogans calling for confronting “terrorists” and the execution of Muslim Brotherhood members.
Meanwhile, dozens of demonstrators marched after Friday prayer to the security directorate to condemn the explosion and announced their support of the police and military.
The demonstrators raised national flags, and banners demanding the execution of ousted president Mohamed Morsi. They also called on army chief Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to run for president.
