The Media Network of the Muslim Brotherhood, a Facebook page affiliated to the MB, called on supporters Saturday to storm the Maadi satellite station through which satellite TV channels are broadcast in Egypt.
It added on its Facebook page that protestors should stay away from the “Media production city because it is huge and roads leading to it are closed by the military…Revolutionaries should storm the station in Maadi to shutdown different channels.”
The station had been attacked with a rocket-propelled grenade on Oct. 7, 2013 after the dispersal of the Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda Square sit-ins. A number of Islamist groups announced their responsibility for the incident.
