Metro service back to normal in Cairo

All Metro lines were back to service on Thursday after a suspension that lasted for almost two hours due to power cuts, Director of the Metro Company Ali Fadali told the state-owned news agency MENA.

A technical problem in Cairo’s electricity transformer station has stopped some circuits from working since 6:15 a.m.,  the Egyptian Holding Company for Electricity said in a statement.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity said that the problem was fixed.
