Morsi Should Be Released, U.S. Says

2013-635084893763946719-394Egypt’s military and interim political leaders should release deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi from custody, a U.S. State Department spokeswoman said July 12, AFP and BBC reported. Germany made a similar call hours earlier. Morsi has been held in detention in an undisclosed location since the military removed him from office July 3. Unrest is likely to grow in Egypt, but there are several ways to arrest the violence and prevent a civil war.
