Dozens of supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi blocked the road leading to Mostafa Mahmoud Square in Cairo’s Mohandiseen district on Wednesday amid a random firing of gunshots, reported the state-owned news agency. The protesters have set fire to car tires and placed barriers to halt traffic from both directions. The loyalists to the former Islamist president took out stones from the pavement and threw them at passing cars while waving his pictures and chanting slogans that demand his return to office. The pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters reacted to the security forces’ crackdown on their protest camps at Rabaa al-Adawiya and Nahda Square security forces on Wednesday morning.
