A tourist bus overturned on a highway linking two Red Sea cities in Egypt on Tuesday, killing one Russian tourist and injuring 11 others, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
The bus was taking tourists from Sharm El-Sheikh to Dahab in South Sinai for a hiking trip.
The injured – eight Russians, a Chinese and two Egyptians – were transferred to a hospital in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Egypt’s Red Sea resorts with their popular diving spots are major tourism attractions.
Road accidents, which official statistics say claim 18 lives a day, are commonplace in Egypt due to ill-maintained roads as well as disregard for traffic laws
