Political parties to celebrate June 30 first anniversary

 Political parties announced preparations for the celebrations of the June 30 Demonstrations first anniversary that led to the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi, according to several media sources Thursday.

June 30 demonstrations in 2013 included the large gatherings and marches in protest against then-Muslim Brotherhood ruling and ended with ousting of the Islamist then-President Mohamed Morsi.

Head of Egypt Party Nabil Azmy said told Youm7 Thursday that they will commemorate the anniversary atTahrir Square and Ithadeya Palace to celebrate “the return of Egypt to the Egyptians.” He said the party and its youth participated in the June 30.

Tagammu Party will discuss with the rest of the political powers and parties the places where they will celebrate the June 30 anniversary, the spokesperson Nabil Zaki told Youm7 Thursday.

Zaki said that it is expected that all parties who participated in 2013 will participate in the celebrations this year.

Head of the Reform and Renaissance Party Hisham Abdel Aziz said on Thursday said the party supports celebrating the June 30 anniversary. Abdel Aziz told Youm7 the party will discuss with the political bureau during the next few days on how to celebrate on June 30.

There are no decisions yet for the Democratic Egyptian Party to participate in the anniversary and that the current atmosphere is not a celebratory one, deputy head Fareed Zahran told Youm7. He said the protest law restricts freedom and can lead to prison sentences.

The National Alliance for Support Legitimacy issued a statement on Thursday calling their supporters to organize protests starting from the beginning of the coming week until July 3.
