President Sisi appoints Egypt’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia as non-resident ambassador to Yemen

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has appointed the Egyptian ambassador to Saudi Arabia as non-resident ambassador to Yemen, Egypt’s official gazette said on Thursday.

Nasser Zaghloul Hamdy has served as the Egyptian ambassador to Saudi Arabia since 2015.

El-Sisi also ordered the transfer of Egypt’s current ambassador to the Libyan government Mohamed Abu Bakr Saleh to serve at the Foreign Ministry’s General Office.

The official gazette also published El-Sisi’s decision for the appointment of Mohamed Desouky and Samia Zein Al-Abedein to the National Press Authority (NPA).

The NPA was founded in 2016 to regulate operation of state-owned press organizations.
