Sinai television building attacked by armed men

Gunmen attacked North Sinai’s television building early on Thursday and exchanged fire with security forces. Eyewitnesses said that the assailants hid in nearby residences and fired shots on the building, targeting security personnel. The attack destroyed the front gate of the building and a disputed number of injuries was reported. In similar news, another group of gunmen attacked a checkpoint in North Sinai with RPGs late on Wednesday while security forces have launched a few attacks on the Rafah border on tunnels that were being used to smuggle goods to Gaza.
