Dozens of supporters of Egyptian ousted President Mohamed Mursi arrived to Cairo Police Academy on Monday morning where he is set to face trial on charges of inciting violence, said a local news portal.
“Down with the military rule!” chanted some of the protesters, according to the Shorouk news portal.
Mursi, who hails from the Muslim Brotherhood stands trial along with 14 other leading members of the group on accusations of inciting violence against peaceful protesters in presidential palace clashes, which took place in December 2012 and left at least 11 people killed.
