Egypt’s wheat reserves for bread subsidies will suffice until June, Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafy said Thursday.
The Ministry of Supply plans to sign contracts to import wheat in order to meet citizen needs for subsidized bread, Hanafy added to Youm7.
Hanafy said the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) would procure wheat from different international companies and would form a committee to check the wheat’s quality, purity, and price competitiveness.
