Civil protection forces on Saturday foiled an attempt to detonate an explosive device at Hehya railway station in Sharqia governorate. The device, composed of dynamite, wires and a digital clock and planted by unknown persons, was deactivated.
The explosive was found by residents, who alerted the police. The area was cordoned off while officers from the bomb department defused the bomb.
